CARMEN WINE
Carmen isn't a wine. She's character. She's a woman who enters the scene without asking permission, with natural elegance and a strength that doesn't need to raise her voice. This is Carmen Verdejo, our white wine that carries in every drop the soul of the earth and the freshness of the Verdejo grape at its finest. Aged under the sun and care of Alto Almanzora, Carmen combines tradition and vitality in perfect balance. Its straw-yellow color with greenish hues already anticipates its freshness. On the nose, it's an aromatic explosion: tropical fruits, citrus notes of grapefruit, and a subtle presence of freshly cut grass, so typical of the most authentic Verdejo. On the palate, it's expressive and vibrant, with good acidity and a long, elegant finish that invites you to sip again. Fresh, fruity, and full of personality.
Aromáticamente, es muy expresivo y fresco. Se aprecian notas intensas de frutas tropicales como el mango y la piña, combinadas con matices cítricos de pomelo y lima.

Pairing
Tuna tataki with sesame and citrus salad
The tuna's juiciness is enhanced by the wine's freshness, while the subtle bitterness and balanced acidity harmonize with the dish's citrus notes. Mango or pineapple garnish enhances the wine's tropical notes, creating a vibrant, elegant, and nuanced pairing.
The winery
Perfer Wineries
At Bodegas Perfer, wine quality begins in the vineyard. With 42 hectares planted with Tempranillo, Merlot, Garnacha, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery focuses on precise and sustainable viticulture, adapted to the dry climate and altitude of the area. Manual and selective harvesting, along with careful production, controlled fermentation, long maceration, and oak barrel aging, result in elegant, expressive, and authentic wines.
